First contact

Unboxing your vinyl
the right way.

01

Unpack with Care

Remove your vinyl record slowly from its package, ensuring you only touch the edges to avoid damaging the grooves. Never press your fingers on the playing surface.

02

Prepare Your Turntable

Check that your turntable is clean and the stylus is dust-free to prevent any sound issues or unnecessary wear. A clean needle means a pure listening experience.

03

Place the Record Gently

Once your setup is ready, place the vinyl on the platter by the edges to keep your oils off the surface. Lower the tonearm carefully for the first play.

Cleaning guide

Before your first
listen — clean first.

1

Brush It Off

Gently sweep a carbon fiber brush across your vinyl to remove any dust or debris accumulated during manufacturing and shipping. Hold by the edges and rotate on your turntable to reach every part evenly.

2

Hands Off the Grooves

Avoid touching the grooves with your fingers. Oils from your skin can deposit on the vinyl, degrading audio performance and attracting more dust over time.

3

Antistatic Treatment

Lightly mist the surface with a high-quality antistatic spray. Wipe with a lint-free microfiber cloth in a circular motion following the grooves to reduce static and remove residual dust.

Long-term care

Everything you need
to know.

Place the custom vinyl album on your turntable and ensure it's properly aligned. Lower the tonearm carefully onto the outer groove and let the music play. During this first play, listen for any irregularities such as skips or excessive surface noise.
New vinyl records can sometimes have static, attracting dust and causing graininess. Treat with an antistatic product:
  • Use an antistatic spray designed for vinyl. Lightly mist the surface ensuring even coverage.
  • Wipe with a clean microfiber cloth in a circular motion following the grooves to reduce static and remove dust.
After playing, store your vinyl correctly to avoid warping and damage:
  • Place the record back in its sleeve immediately after use.
  • Store vertically like books on a shelf — storing flat causes warping over time.
  • Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Make regular cleaning part of your routine. Clean periodically and always handle with care. A well-maintained record rewards you with exceptional sound quality for decades. Consider investing in a proper record cleaning kit for deep cleans every few months.
