Vinyl Press Operator
Oversee the vinyl pressing process, ensuring production of high-quality records. Requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for vinyl.
Responsibilities
- Operate vinyl pressing machines and related equipment
- Set up and adjust machines per project specifications
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and timing for optimal quality
- Inspect finished products — check for warping, surface defects, audio inconsistencies
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machinery
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the pressing process
- Keep accurate production and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial machines (vinyl pressing or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team
- Comfortable lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Flexible hours including occasional weekends
Nice to have
- Knowledge of mastering, plating, and finishing processes
- Experience in quality control or audio engineering
- Familiarity with industrial safety and maintenance procedures
