Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about your custom vinyl.

Prices for customized discs start at $50. Prices include production and testing.

Depending on size, you can upload a maximum of 44 minutes of music (22 min per side).

Available colors: Black, White, Clear, Blue, Red and Green. We also offer a color picker, allowing you to choose any custom color.

Depending on the season, we may release exclusive colors, limited edition designs, and picture discs — these products are highly limited.

Please note that photos are not contractual, and colors may vary slightly.

Vinyls are pressed at 33 rpm only.

The higher the quality of the music and images you upload, the better the result.

Images: We recommend a high-resolution JPEG or PNG format, minimum 2048 × 2048.

Music: Using mastered music is the best option, whether MP3 (320 kbps) or WAV (high bitrate). This can be done with your local mastering studio for best results.

Please ensure your files are carefully checked before submission. We cannot be held responsible for low-quality results resulting from poor-quality files.

The overall sound will be warmer and rounder due to the slight friction of the turntable stylus against the grooves. Low frequencies will be slightly deeper and more pronounced.

Very low-volume sounds may not transfer as clearly to vinyl, but this can be adjusted on your end by mastering the file or increasing the overall volume if necessary.

The final audio quality will depend on the quality of your files.

You can add any music that you own the rights to: this includes your own original songs, voice memos, or recordings you've created yourself.

We cannot accept copyrighted music (like commercial songs by other artists).

It takes a maximum of 25 working days to press the vinyl, plus approximately 24 to 96 hours for delivery. For preorders, we follow a chronological order, processing them on a first-come, first-served basis.

Creating a custom vinyl from scratch takes time, as each record is manually cut and carefully monitored to ensure quality. Additionally, your album sleeve and label must be printed and assembled into a neat, attractive, and secure package.

We will send you an email with an update and tracking code as soon as your order is on its way.

For optimum quality, clean your vinyl record with a non-abrasive microfiber cleaning cloth. This type of cloth absorbs oils well and catches dust and grime. A carbon-fiber brush is also perfect for cleaning your vinyl record.

If possible, an anti-static spray would be ideal with the cloth. Specialized cleaning kits also exist, and will soon be available on Vinylacy.

If you're experiencing problems such as skipping, distorted sound, or if the tone arm can't reach the end of the record, these symptoms are often attributable to problems with your turntable.

Turntables with low-end cells — often identified by features such as a red cell, built-in speakers, radio or Bluetooth — generally fail to deliver satisfactory audio performance and can even damage your vinyl records.

To guarantee quality listening and prolong the life of your records, we recommend investing in a better quality turntable. Even on a tight budget, it's possible to find excellent options among used turntables.

All our records are rigorously tested and inspected before shipping. However, if you encounter any issues, our customer service team is here to assist you.

We protect your package against loss or damage during shipment with insurance.

Please send us a photo and a brief description of the damage to contact@vinylacy.com so that we can open a claim ticket.

There's no need to send this record back to us — there are many creative uses for vinyl records :)
